- Meet The Founder
About Our Founder.
Chy Wells Founder & Executive Director Sisters With Souls, Inc. I’m Chy, founder of Sisters With Souls Inc. Everything I do is rooted in living experience. I grew up in a single-parent home where survival meant making the most out of very little. My mother did her best, but many days we weren’t sure how we would keep the lights on or put food on the table. The hardest moment came when my 12-year-old brother died in a tragic firearm accident. That loss shattered us. My mother struggled with her mental health, and we had no support system. My siblings and I had to grow up fast. We leaned on each other just to get through.
As a teen mom, I faced new challenges while still trying to find my own way. I knew what it felt like to need help and not know where to turn. That pain became my purpose.
I began volunteering in shelters, helping families facing the same struggles I knew too well. Over and over, I saw moms like mine, fighting without enough support. I knew then I was being called to build what we never had.
That calling became Sisters With Souls Inc., a nonprofit grounded in truth, love, and resilience. Our mission is to uplift youth and families by creating opportunities for connection, empowerment, healing, and hope.
This work is personal. It is my life’s mission to ensure no one feels alone in their struggle.
I’m not just building programs. I’m creating the space I once needed.
